Così fan tutti
Production/direction: Davide Levi. Libretto: Anna Whyatt
A feminist reinterpretation of Mozart’s masterpiece, as a portable, immersive production where audiences sit close to performers. With music sung in Italian, the recitatives are replaced by a dialogue between two female narrators. The performance integrates live elements with video projections accompanied by a ten-piece orchestra.
Traces
Music composed by Davide Levi.
Production: Davide Levi, Anna Whyatt.
On Dec 27th, 1943, Davide Levi’s grandfather, in fear of his life, crossed the border from Italy to Switzerland as the fascist net closed for Italian Jews. He’d walked with his sister from San Bartolomeo Val Cavargna to the guard post at Carena, to... “tumble across the border.” In Switzerland he was placed in an internment camp in Bellinzona.
Traces is a reconstruction of that journey. It will also feature other journeys made by survivors and those who did not survive, set within an education programme for children and young people.
A Dinner Engagement
